Networking area weather observers and certified NWS Trained Storm Spotters for information gathering and sharing. Amateur Radio Operators who volunteer thier time to help in this endeavor are required to take the National Weather Service (NWS) Basic Storm Spotter Class provided each year by the Warning Meteoroligist In Charge (WMIC). One time certification only!
